New York Interconnect: Greater Together
Launching a NY-centric brand (during Upfronts)
The Project
Our team at The Nation was appointed to create the brand identity for the New York Interconnect (NYI)—a joint venture between Altice USA, Comcast, and Charter Communications—connecting advertisers with resonant audiences across the New York market. From look and feel, to voice and tone (and beyond!), we worked closely with our client to time this launch with Upfront season, one of the busiest, buzziest times in the advertising and media calendar. No pressure.
Our “Greater Together” party took over a massive space in Midtown Manhattan, gathered +400 guests (including SpongeBob), and featured stage appeareances by NYI’s Pat Kiernan and News12’s Elizabeth Hashagen. We named our main bar The Ampersand. Rock band The Fray closed out the evening with a live set.
To keep the NYI launch momentum going, our creative graced the cover of AdWeek Magazine.
The experiential activation won “Best Staging & Set Design”, “Best Event Decor”, and “Best Event of the Decade: Best Corporate Event Concept (Budget Over $500k)” at the BizBash Event Style Awards.
