Massive Attack: Fantom Music App

A sensory experience shaped by music fans

The Project
For the launch of the long-awaited Ritual Spirit EP, our team at The Nation worked with British trip-hop collective Massive Attack in the design of Fantom, a sensory music experience. The app generated unique remixes based on user health data, from time of day and location, to heartbeat and movement. The result: A singular memento for fans to enjoy and share on social.

Years later, we revisited this interactive project with the design of Fantom: Mezzanine, launched in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the band’s critically acclaimed studio album, Mezzanine.
